Cross-border knowledge and experience exchange in Cybersecurity

SatisGuard is thrilled to welcome CyberSecurity Malaysia to Taiwan on October 17th and 18th in 2023!

We were delighted to host the Director of Crypto Lab – Ms. Hazlin Abdul Rani, the Marketing Manager – Mr. Mohammad Fahdzli, and the Senior Analysis of Crypto Lab – Ms. Isma Norshahila Mohammad Shah to exchange the research and development progress of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in Taiwan and Malaysia, and to learn about the quantum-safe migration plans of industry players in Taiwan.

Exploring Y2Q cybersecurity approaches and solutions

As the national cyber security specialist agency under the purview of the Ministry of Communications and Digital of Malaysia (KKD), CyberSecurity Malaysia, or CSM, is committed to providing a broad range of cybersecurity innovation-led services, programs, and initiatives to reduce the vulnerability of digital systems, and at the same time strengthen Malaysia’s self-reliance in cyberspace. By hosting CSM with all the Taiwan-based partners, SatisGuard aims to introduce the Delegation to the latest development of PQC in Taiwan, while exploring different cybersecurity approaches to support the enhancement of Malaysia’s self-reliance in cyberspace.

On the 17th, CSM visited Tainan to meet with SatisGuard’s partner Digiforen and Shield eXtreme to see the capacity of digital forensics and cyber range. With experience in working with local governments and enterprises, we showcased great results in increasing the efficiency of law enforcement and talent training by deployment of these solutions.

On the 18th, we invited the National Institute of Cyber Security of Taiwan (NICS) to introduce the current research progress in the PQC in Taiwan to kick off a day with in-depth discussions on the status and plans to migrate to PQC of different industries. Co-hosted with Quantum Safe Migration Center of Taiwan (QSMC), there has been discussion about the visions of the QSMC’s endeavor to support the nationwide migration strategies and their performance so far with SatisGuard and the industries.

We covered the case study between the QSMC initiator, Chelpis, and SatisGuard’s partner in secured email, Openfind, on how to migrate their email services to a better-quantum-resilience system, the research and migration roadmap of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) of Changing, some of the national migration plans tailor-made for different industries planed the Information and Communications Research Laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan (ITRI), and the partnership between Chelpis and the hardware security IP solution provider Jmem Tek in related to strengthen the supply chain safety.

As we approach Year-to-Quantum, or Y2Q, it is more important than ever for businesses to start planning for the migration to quantum-safe cryptography. SatisGuard is committed to providing our clients with the support and resources they need to make this transition as smooth as possible.
